This is an ongoing programme offering young people and adults one-to-one support to help them achieve their goals and reach their full potential. The sessions are tailored to meet the needs of each person and can be as few as one or two sessions to resolve an issue or a number of sessions over several months to create a personal development plan. Current participants include young people looking at their career options; older people who want to re-think their life and career.
In Cahootz staff also have specialist skills in facilitating the needs of small community groups and charities to ensure they develop and achieve their goals. This support can be short term or ongoing dependent on the need, for example, planning and delivering activities, working with volunteers and making funding applications.
Each session lasts about one hour and is strictly confidential.
Feedback:
“The benefits about the mentoring sessions are that I’m in control, I’m not being judged and they have given me confidence to move on to doing something that I really love.” Stacey, Community Arts Worker, Falkirk
“…..a great big thank you for facilitating last Saturday’s governance afternoon. I think everyone felt it was extremely helpful, and you effortlessly managed to strike exactly the right tone – I don’t think anyone has gone away feeling daunted, but I am certain they all fully understand their responsibilities as trustees.” Project Director, Achievement Bute
