Creative Programme 2026

Our Creative Citizens Creative Programme 2026 has begun. Our programme runs from March to June, Wednesday to Friday, running creative workshops that include our Cultural Walking Group, Music, Democracy, Dance, Art, and Drama workshops.

Here is what you can expect from each workshop.

Music Workshops

Music workshops are currently participant led by experienced members of the group. The music group is open to everyone, regardless of their experience. Many of our participants had never played an instrument before joining the group, and are supported fully to develop their skills in guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and singing. The music group runs on a Wednesday afternoon 1.30pm-3pm.

Cultural Walking Group

Cultural Walking Group combines walking and cultural visits, exploring Glasgow’s history and discovering what our City has to offer. Our Walking Group offers a social way to explore what is on our doorsteps, allowing participants to build relationships while we walk and talk. The Walking Group runs on a Wednesday morning 10am-1pm.

Democracy Workshops

Democracy workshops encourage active citizenship and are designed to create awareness around democracy and voting. Everyone has the right to be informed and have their voices heard. You can attend our Democracy workshops on a Thursday morning 10am-12pm.

Dance Workshops

Dance workshops are open to anyone who enjoys dance and movement, regardless of experience. Each week they will focus on different styles of dance supported by our dance facilitator. These workshops run on a Thursday afternoon 1pm-3pm.

Art Workshops

Art workshops are facilitated by our resident Visual Artist on Friday morning 10am-12pm. The workshops take place in our ‘Kitchen Studio’ where you can learn different techniques and practices, and are given the space to work to explore your own creative practice.

Drama Workshops

Weekly drama workshops run on a Friday afternoon 1pm-4pm. These workshops are a fun way to learn and develop a range of drama skills including improvisation and storytelling. These workshop help build confidence, and encourages creative expression.
