Devised, written and performed by the group
Directed by Kate Black
Performed at the Botanic Gardens, Glasgow
This production was specially made for Scottish Refugee Week in partnership with Parent Network Scotland. The performance told the story of a young African mother and her children and how they escaped the atrocities of their home country. It followed their journey across many countries to their arrival in Scotland.
The cast comprised women and children from several countries, all of them having strong connections with Parent Network Scotland.
Kate Black was invited by Parent Network Scotland to devise the show with them.
“This was a fantastic project with our new Scots. It gave them an opportunity to tell their story and for us all to understand each other more and to learn about each other’s hopes, fears and dreams.” – Jackie Tolland, CEO, Parent Network Scotland
