The art club meet weekly in our workspace where we make and work around our kitchen table. We support an open studio ethos allowing people to develop their own creative art practice, play with materials and explore ideas while being supported by artist Rachel Mimiec.

We often attend exhibitions and research artworks related to studio activity and interests. We try to support people’s ambition for their work by bringing in additional professional expertise whenever possible.

We use the arts to improve our participants’ health, well-being, confidence, and social capital. Our activities help to promote connection, reduce isolation, increase confidence and offer opportunities for inclusion alongside an appreciation of the arts and the power of making and expressing.

‘It's so weird seeing people talk about something you have made and ask questions about it.’
